My dogs love the Wellness Bars, we give them the Yogurt and Fruit Bars.
Eagle Pack has a new treat !

After moving to Texas I learned that you can not buy Eagle Pack Large Giant Breed Puppy from any retailers due to a disagreement in the levels of glucosamine. This put a hug dilemma on us since we feed this to our puppies. I contacted Eagle Pack and they assured me that the Eagle Pack Natural Adult in the Purple Bag is equivalent to the Puppy Formula, just feed it in the same amounts as the Puppy Formula. You can however purchase The Eagle Pack Large Giant Breed Puppy formula online and have it delivered to you.
We recommend to all the New Great Dane Puppy Owners not to feed any raw diet to their puppy until 6 months of age but preferably after maturity. The high fat content with in the diet can cause bone problems, There are Breeders/owners that do feed total or partial raw diet to their puppies with out any problems. We however recommend that you wait until the puppy is finished growing.
WARNING: When storing your pet's food, store it in the bag itself, then slip the bag down into a plastic or metal container with a lid. DO NOT DUMP THE FOOD INTO THE CONTAINER DIRECTLY. The fats in the food can cause cancer causing chemicals to come out of the metal or plastic into the food itself. It is safe if left in the bag it came in.
All of our adult dogs are fed Eagle Pack food mixed with, Natures Variety Raw Meat, Apples and Bananas.

Eagle Pack large giant breed puppy is what we wean all our puppies on to. I will provide a link to Linda's website , she is known as the Great Dane Lady . These links will have photos of bone growth problems seen with poor nutrition so its very important to keep all our Tribledanes babies on Eagle Pack food for its life time .
This is a general guideline so they do not consume too many calories before 6 months of age, disrupting their growth patterns causing accelerated growth and potential bone problems. Keep the puppy lean, but not skinny. On a dog with a smooth coat, you want to just barely see the last rib if the dog is standing. That is the perfect weight for growth. If he is too lean, feed 1/2- 1 cup more per day. You have plenty of time to get muscle on them as the mature.
Linda's Very Veggie Soup
2 large cans of chicken or beef broth - (low sodium or homemade) - NO MEAT . Add LOTS of veggies - carrots, green beans, wax beans, zucchini, squash, tomatoes, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower and couple cloves of garlic. The idea is to use this as the filler so you want it to be hearty and filling.* Find the following topics on the Great Dane Lady's Site *

Do not let them free eat and do not give them people food table scraps. The only acceptable human food is raw fruits, veggies and at 6 months of age or older you may give raw soup bones but only while supervised. Once the marrow is gone toss the bone out !!!
We also recommend that you never board your Great Dane, Great Danes are family dogs and need to be with their families even on vacation. If your Great Dane stress over you leaving them they may bloat. Please take care of your Great Dane !
